SURFACES focuses on what is immediately visible — and what resists being understood despite that visibility.
These works emphasize planes, reflections, density, and color fields. Depth is present, but it is not illustrated. Instead, it is absorbed into the surface itself, compressed and quiet.
Light interacts with these surfaces unevenly, creating subtle variations that cannot be fixed from a single viewpoint. Reflection becomes distortion. Color becomes weight.
SURFACES does not offer transparency or illusion.
It holds perception at the surface, asking the viewer to remain with what is seen, without expectation of entry.
